Beiersdorf: first-half sales down 10.7%

(CercleFinance.com) - According to preliminary figures, Beiersdorf's first-half like-for-like sales fell by 10.
7% to 3.5 billion euros, due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Like-for-like sales generated by the consumer business fell 10.9% to 2.9 billion euros over the first half, while sales at the tesa adhesives unit were down 10% at 622 million euros.

For the entire 2020 fiscal year, the overall impact that the coronavirus pandemic will have on its business cannot yet be projected with certainty, Beiersdorf said.

The shares of the Hamburg-based company were trading 0.6% lower on Tuesday morning after losing 1.8% yesterday.
