BMW: picks Nvidia to redefine factory logistics

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's BMW has selected Nvidia's robotics platform to redifine its factories logistics, utilising AI computing and visualization technologies, the companies said on Thursday.


The collaboration will help BMW to manage its supply chain, which sees millions of parts flowing into its factories from over 4,500 supplier sites, they said.

The terms of the deal were not announced, although the system is expected to be deployed to BMW factories worldwide once it is developed.

The announcement was made as Nvidia is preparing to release its GTC 2020 keynote today in Santa Clara, California.
