BMW: executive chairman will not seek second term
(CercleFinance.com) - The chairman of BMW's board of management, Harald Krüger, said on Friday that he will not seek a second term of office, although will hold his position until a successor has been found.
In a statement, Krüger said he would like to pursue "new professional endeavours" and leverage his international experience for "new projects and ventures." He has been with the German premium car maker for more than 27 years, including over ten years in BMW's board of management. Harald Krüger took over the position of board chairman from Norbert Reithofer in May 2015.
