BMW: May sales up 3.2%
(CercleFinance.com) - German premium carmaker BMW announced that its total sales (including MINI and Rolls Royce) increased by 3.
2% in May, with the group delivering 210,563 vehicles, with sales of its BMW brand having risen by 4.6% to 181,888 vehicles delivered.
This brings the German group's total sales to 1,012,093 vehicles since the start of 2019, up 0.8% y-o-y, which was achieved “despite ongoing volatility in several markets around the world.”
Pieter Nota, a BMW AG management board member said this is “Especially pleasing is the development of our new X models, as their overall sales increased by over 30% in the month.” He added that the sales of electric vehicles passed the milestone of 400,000 units.
