BMW: change could provide a catalyst, Morgan Stanley says

(CercleFinance.com) - Morgan Stanley said on Friday it maintains an "equal weight" rating on BMW, with a target price of 75 euros.


"The world has changed," the broker wrote in a note to investors, pointing out that the German carmaker's sales have stalled. "BMW needs to respond", it added.

While the Munich-based company's plans to cut complexity by 50% and costs by 12 billion euros are "a start," further change could provide "a catalyst," Morgan said.

The BMW stock is currently up 0.2% at 62.5 euros in Frankfurt.
