BMW: net income down 17%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday German automobile giant BMW reported net income of 7.
2 billion euros, down -16.9% from the previous year, for revenues that were pretty much flat at 97.5 billion euros (-0.8%).

The group's operating margin came in at 10.1%, down 0.8 point. However, n the automotive sector, it remained above 7%.

Mentioning record investments in research and development, the planned release of over 10 new electric models, and the second highest dividend proposed, BMW says that this is still its second best result to date. Despite this, Harald Krüger warned that a lot of effort is needed.
