BMW: forecasts new record figures for 2017.

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's BMW posted higher second-quarter profit on Thursday, and also forecast new record figures for full-year 2017.


The premium carmaker said pre-tax profit rose by 9.2% to over three billion euros over the past quarter, with net profit rising by 13.6% to 2.2 billion euros.

Group revenues between April and June increased by 3.1% to 25.8 billion euros on the back of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicle deliveries that rose by 4.6% to 633,582 vehicles.

Looking ahead, the group said it is confident in achieving its projected targets for the current financial year.

BMW forecasts slight increases, and hence new record figures, for automotive segment deliveries and pre-tax profit in 2017.

BMW shares are currntly up 1.2% at 79.8 euros after theses results, being the sharpest riser in the DAX index.
