Deutsche Bank: back in the black in 2020

3 billion euros in 2019, Deutsche Bank, Germany's largest bank, is back in the black, with an annual net profit of 624 million euros.

Net banking income for FY 2020 amounted to 24 billion euros, up 4% y-o-y.

"With profit before tax of a billion euros, we're ahead of our own expectations," said Christian Sewing, Deutsche Bank's CEO. We have built firm foundations for sustainable profitability, and are confident that this overall positive trend will continue in 2021, despite these challenging times".
