Deutsche Bank: to transfer prime finance clients to BNP
(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Bank said on Monday that it has reached a deal to transfer its prime finance and electronic equities to BNP Paribas.
Following on from a preliminary agreement, the banking giants said that they have signed a binding agreement to provide continuity of service to institutional investors clients. Under the deal, Deutsche Bank will continue to operate the platform until clients can be migrated to BNP Paribas. Beyond the migration of customers , the deal also includes the transfer of technology and key staff from Deutsche Bank to BNP Paribas. Deutsche Bank's prime finance unit provides an integrated suite of services that includes prime brokerage, structured equity finance, and trade execution to hedge funds and hedge fund investors.
