Alcon: prices 2 billion dollars senior notes

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss eye care group Alcon will issue 2 billion dollars worth of senior notes to repay its outstanding debt, the company said on Tuesday.


The debt includes 500 million dollars of 2.75% senior notes due in 2026, 1 billion dollars of 3% notes due in 2029 and 500 million dollars of 3.8% notes due in 2049, Alcon said.

The offer is expected to close on 23 September.

Alcon said it also intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
