UBS: names new head for global wealth management

(CercleFinance.com) - UBS on Thursday named Iqbal Khan, a former Credit Suisse executive, to lead its global wealth management business.


Khan previously led Credit Suisse's international wealth management business, which he successfully transformed while improving growth and profitability.

Market rumours said that the Swiss private bank Julius Baer has had Khan on its potential list for CEO.

At UBS, Khan will replace Martin Blessing, who has decided to step down from his role.

The Swiss investment bank also said that Suni Harford, who joined the group in 2017, will succeed Ulrich Koerner as president of the asset management unit.

Sabine Keller-Busse will succeed Koerner as president of UBS Europe, Middle East and Africa, on top of her current role as the group's chief operating officer.
