Nestlé: eyes on an organic specialist again.

(CercleFinance.com) - According to Bloomberg, Nestlé plans to buy out the US agri-food group Hain Celestial, which is specialised in organic and vegetarian products.


At its closing price of just under 41 dollars on the Nasdaq yesterday evening, Hain Celestial Group has market capitalisation of about 4.3 billion dollars (i.e. about 3.6 billion euros). Its brands include Health Valley cereals, Terra crisps and Alba Botanica cosmetics.

"Preliminary talks" have taken place between the Swiss agri-food giant from Vevey and Hain Celestial Group - even though other candidates are also interested.
