Dufry: second-quarter organic growth accelerates
(CercleFinance.com) - Airport retailer Dufry said on Tuesday that its second-quarter organic growth surged to 2.
3%, particularly driven by its new concessions in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
First-half revenues rose to 4.18 billion Swiss francs, compared to 4.10 billion Swiss francs in the first half of 2018, representing total growth of 2%, the Basel-based group said.
However, organic growth for the first half was 2.2%, showing an improvement compared to the first threee months of the year (+2%).
While adjusted EBIT reached 237 million Swiss francs in the first half, Dufry said that it made a net loss of 116.8 million Swiss francs in the period.
After these results, Dufry shares were trading down 1.3% in Zurich this morning.
