ABB: confirms talks with Hitachi on grid
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss engineering group ABB has confirmed that it is currently in talks with Japan's Hitachi to "re-define" the strategic power grid partnership that the companies signed in 2014.
"There can be no certainty that any transaction will occur, or as to the timing, structure or terms of any transaction," ABB said in a statement on Wednesday. In 2014, ABB and Hitachi formed a strategic power grid partnership in Japan, starting a joint venture for high voltage direct current (HVDC) system solutions.
