LafargeHolcim: vast plant modernisation programme

(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim announces its four-year “Plants of Tomorrow” programme, an initiative presented as “one of the largest roll-outs of Industry 4.
0 technologies in the building materials industry”.

It targets a global network of over 270 integrated cement plants and grinding stations in over 50 countries in which it will use technologies such as artificial intelligence or predictive maintenance throughout its production process.

“A 'Plants of Tomorrow' certified operation will show 15 to 20 percent operational efficiency gains compared to a conventional cement plant”, explains the Franco-Swiss group, which is currently working on more than 30 pilot projects.
