Credit Suisse: completes capital increase

(CercleFinance.com) - Today Credit Suisse announced that it has completed a capital increase through the placement of just over 462 million newly issued shares to qualified investors, resulting in gross proceeds of 1.
76 billion Swiss francs.

As part of the placement, 307.6 million shares were acquired by Saudi National Bank (SNB), resulting in a 9.9% stake in the Swiss bank.

Credit Suisse also agreed the final terms of a further capital increase through the issuance of 889.4 million new shares for expected gross proceeds of 2.24 billion Swiss francs, again to improve its CET1 ratio and support its strategic transformation.
