Credit Suisse: appoints new chairman

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse has announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Axel P Lehmann as the bank's new Chairman with immediate effect, succeeding António Horta-Osório, who resigned following an investigation commissioned by the Board.


Axel Lehmann was elected to the board of directors of the Swiss financial institution at the extraordinary general meeting on 1 October 2021: he also became chairman of the risk committee.

After working for almost 20 years at Zurich Insurance Group, including almost 14 years as a member of the Group Executive Committee in different positions, he was a member of the Executive Board of the UBS banking group.
