Roche: Polivy approved by Brussels

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche announces that the European Commission has granted a conditional marketing authorisation to Polivy (polatuzumab vedotin), in combination with bendamustine plus MabThera (rituximab) (BR).


This decision concerns the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) who are not candidates for a haematopoietic stem cell transplant.

Conditional authorisation is granted to medical products meeting an unsatisfied medical need, where the benefit of immediate availability offsets the risk of less complex data than what is normally required.
