Roche: solution offers HPV self-sampling

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche today announced the launch of a self-sampling solution for human papillomavirus (HPV) in countries that accept the CE mark.


This new solution enables a patient to privately collect a sample at a healthcare facility, following instructions provided by a healthcare professional.

The clinically validated sample is then analysed with the Roche cobas HPV test on a Roche molecular instrument.

Roche said that eliminating cervical cancer is within reach. Reducing the barriers to HPV screening by enabling women to collect their own sample for HPV testing is an essential tool in the fight against this.
