Roche: renews partnership with Basel-based incubator

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche has agreed to renew its partnership with BaseLaunch, a Basel-based incubator and accelerator that helps scientists and entrepreneurs launch biotech firms.


During its first phase, from 2017 to 2019, BaseLaunch was supported by major drugmakers such as Roche, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.

Their investments have helped to support nine early therapeutic ventures, raising a total of over 100 million dollars in equity capital from US and European venture funds.

BaseLaunch - which recently added another four ventures to its portfolio - is now gearing up for its "second phase" leading to an increase of the maximum funding per venture to 500,000 dollars, from 250,000 dollars previously.
