Roche: lung cancer drug approved in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche's Tecentriq lung cancer drug has won approval in China, the Swiss drugmaker said on Friday.


China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved Tecentriq, in combination with chemotherapy, for the first-line treatment of patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, the group said.

This approval makes Tecentriq the first cancer immunotherapy available in China for the initial treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in China.
