Roche: multiple sclerosis drug wins Australian approval.

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche's Ocrevus has won Australian approval for relapsing and primary progressive multiple sclerosis, the company said on Monday, marking the second approval of the drug for both indications after that in the US in March.


The Swiss drugmaker says Australia has among the highest prevalence of multiple sclerosis in the Southern Hemisphere, with over 23,000 people affected.

Marketing applications for Ocrevus are currently under review in over 50 countries across the world, including in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
