Novartis: production agreement with CureVac

(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis announced on Thursday that it has reached an agreement with CureVac to supply components for its Covid-19 vaccine project and produce several million doses.


The Swiss biopharmaceutical group said that preparations for the start of production, technology transfer and test runs are already underway. Novartis plans to start production in the second quarter of 2021

Novartis says it expects to manufacture some 50 million doses in 2021 before scaling up production to nearly 200 million doses next year.
