Novartis: shareholders approve dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis announced on Tuesday that its shareholders have approved all the resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors at the biopharmaceutical group's AGM held in Basel today.
In particular, shareholders ratified a 1.7% increase in the dividend to three Swiss francs per share, the 24th consecutive increase since the group was founded in 1996. The shareholders also re-elected Joerg Reinhardt as Chairman of the Board of Directors for another year, together with all members who had stood for re-election. The shareholders also approved the cancellation of 32.6 million shares repurchased under the share buyback program for 2020 and new share buybacks for a maximum of 10 billion Swiss francs up to 2024.
