Bombardier: awarded maintenance contract in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Bombardier announced the signing of a contract worth around 145 million euros for the maintenance of 27 medium-distance trains serving the East Midlands region in central England.


Under this three-year contract, the Canadian group will maintain a fleet of its own 222 Series diesel-electric trainsets, it said in a statement.

Operated by the Dutch group Abellio and Britain's Eversholt Rail, the East Midlands Railway franchise runs from London to major cities in the region, including Leeds and Sheffield.
