Bombardier: confirms discussions on CRJ program

(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian train and plane maker Bombardier confirmed on Wednesday that it is in discussions with Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the sale of its CRJ regional jet airliners program.


Taking note of recent media reports, Bombardier said it would not make any further comments about these talks.

The group recently stated that it would explore "strategic options" for the CRJ program.

Its shares opened up 2.5% on Toronto's TSX Exchange this morning.
