Bombardier: EgyptAir converts option to firm order

(CercleFinance.com) - EgyptAir has decided to convert an option to buy 12 Bombardier CS300 aircraft along with rights for an additional 12 CS300 aircraft, the Canadian firm said on Friday.


Based on list prices, the firm order would be valued at approximately 1.1 billion dollars, while the purchase rights for the 12 additional aircraft would increase the deal's value to nearly 2.2 billion dollars.

Bombardier and EgyptAir signed a letter of intent last month during the Dubai Airshow.

Separately, Bombardier said that an unidentified customer has signed an order to acquire six CRJ900 aircraft on firm order with options on six further CRJ900 regional jets.

Based on list prices, the firm orders would be valued at approximately 290 million dollars.
