Ageas: RBS' claims have been dismissed

(CercleFinance.com) - The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Tribunal has rejected all the claims brought by the Royal Bank of Scotland against Ageas, the Belgian insurer said on Monday.


In 2014, RBS initiated an arbitration procedure against Ageas before the ICC in Paris, initially claiming 135 million euros, related to an alleged indemnification promise made by Fortis to RBS back in 2007, as part of the joint takeover of the former ABN Amro.

"Ageas is pleased with the decision of the ICC Tribunal," the group said, adding that the decision was final.
