KBC: pilot scheme to test authenticity of documents.

(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian financial group KBC has started a pilot scheme which lets visitors to its Website check the authenticity of certain documents using blockchain technology.


KBC says it wants to examine how blockchain technology can be used to guarantee the authenticity of issued documents, adding that the project's user feedback will be "thoroughly evaluated."

"In these times of fake news, it is important that the authenticity of the news received and its distributor can be verified," the group explains in a statement.

With the process, the reader will save the PDF document to be tested on their PC before uploading it to get immediate confirmation or rejection of its authenticity.
