Solvay: 2018 EPS up 16%

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay has published total 2018 EPS of 10.
57 euros, up 16%, and proposes an annual dividend of 3.75 euros per share, i.e. a final gross dividend of 2.31 euros, taking into account an interim dividend of 1.44 euro paid in January.

The Belgian chemist posted stable underlying EBITDA at 2,230 million euros (+5.3% at constant scope and exchange rates), for organic sales growth of 5.7%, thanks to higher volumes on all segments and a favourable price trend.

Solvay forecasts modest growth in 2019, with stronger growth in the second half of the year, with Q1 being expected at the same level as last year. Moreover, the group will continue its deleveraging thanks to a solid generation of operational free cash flow.
