Solvay: contract with EDP Renováveis

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay announced on Tuesday that it has signed an aggregation contract with EDP Renováveis, a Spanish specialist in the renewable energy sector and one of the largest producers of wind energy in the world.


This is part of the new compensation supplement scheme implemented by the French government.

Thanks to this long-term agreement, Solvay Energy Services will monetise the electricity generated by the EDPR wind power plant in Flavin (Aveyron), which has an installed capacity of 11 megawatts (MW).

Both companies are also discussing ways of extending their collaboration to other projects of this type, as well as the development of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in France and other countries.
