Schlumberger: launches 'Optiq' for fiber optic solutions

(CercleFinance.com) - Schlumberger today announced the launch of Schlumberger Optiq, fiber optic solutions that will contribute to improved operational performance while reducing their environmental impact.


Improving access to fiber optic solutions, it enables the energy industry to harness the full power of this revolutionary technology, the group said.

Integrated with the company's digital capabilities, Optiq solutions will be able to process large volumes of data up to 18 times faster than current industry practice, in areas as diverse as drilling, production monitoring and leak detection.

These solutions can also be used to improve understanding of the subsurface for carbon capture and storage, or to optimise geothermal energy production systems, Schlumberger said.
