Europcar: returns to profit in 2016.
(CercleFinance.com) - Europcar Groupe has reported 2016 earnings of 119.
2 million euros, compared to a net loss of 55.8 million euros in 2015, with operating profit of 262.7 million euros, up 19%.
Corporate adjusted EBITDA grew by 3.2% at constant exchange rates to 253.9 million euros, representing a margin of 11.8%, up 10 basis points. This performance is due to a 40-basis point increase in the financial utilisation of the fleet to 76.5%, as well as sound control of the fleet's cost per unit.
The vehicle rental company recorded FY revenues of 2,151 million euros, i.e. up 3% at constant exchange rates. In organic terms, revenues rose 2.6% (at constant exchange rates and consolidation scope, and excluding the impact of fuel).
