Société Générale: to implement organisational adjustments

(CercleFinance.com) - Société Générale has announced that it is making several organisational adjustments that will contribute to improving its operational efficiency and structural profitability, while complying with the highest risk and compliance standards.


Some of the projects relate to market activities and associated functions and will contribute to the group's aim of reducing costs by 450 million euros by 2022-2023 to improve the profitability of these activities.

In addition, the Securities Services business line and certain central departments (risk, compliance, human resources and communication) are considering organisational adjustments to improve their operational efficiency and meet the specific challenges of their activities.

The planned adjustments and optimisations should result in a net reduction of around 640 positions in France, albeit without any forced redundancies. Société Générale will maintain its commitment as a responsible employer to support each and every employee.
