Pernod Ricard: acquires Texan Super-Premium whisky TX
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Pernod Ricard announced the acquisition of Firestone and Robertson Distilling, the owner of the Texan super-premium whisky brand, TX.
The deal will enable Pernod Ricard to takeover the Blended Whisky TX, launched in 2012, which has already won several awards and which is sold at a price of over than 40 dollars a bottle. The scope of the agreement also includes the Whisky Ranch, a state-of-the-art distillery located close to Fort Worth in Texas, which is open to the public for tours and tasting. For the record, Pernod Ricard recently bought Rabbit Hole Whisky, the maker of a kentucky-based super premium bourbon, as well as the Italian super-premium Malfy gin.
