American Express: EPS up 16% in Q4

04 for Q4 2024, on revenues net of interest expense up 9% to nearly $17.2bn (+10% excluding currency effects). NB pmt -0.4%.
This increase is primarily attributable to strong cardholder spending, higher net interest income and accelerating growth in card fees, the payment solutions group explains.
Posting EPS growth of 25% to $14.01 and revenue growth of 9% for FY 2024, it is targeting EPS of $15 to $15.50 and revenue growth of 8% to 10% for 2025.
In addition, American Express plans to increase its quarterly dividend by 17%, from $0.70 to $0.82 per share, starting with the dividend payment scheduled for Q1 2025.
