EDF: £500 million bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF announces the successful completion of its £500 million senior bond issue, with a 40-year maturity and a fixed coupon of 6.
5%.

An amount equal to the net proceeds will be used to finance and/or refinance investments in the construction of the two EPR-type reactors at the Hinkley Point C site in the UK, with a total capacity of 3.26 GW.

These reactors, whose lifecycle analysis is estimated at less than 6gCO2/kWh, will make a decisive contribution to the UK's ambition to be 'net zero emissions by 2050'," the utility points out.
