Zurich Insurance: H1 net profit up 21%
(CercleFinance.com) - Zurich Insurance has announced its H1 2024 results.
Group operating income rose 7% to $4bn with the highest ever return on equity (BOPAT ROE) of 25%.
Net income attributable to shareholders rose 21% to $3bn in H1 2024.
P&C revenues at $2.2bn are up 3% on a comparable interest rate basis with a combined ratio of 93.6%.
Commercial P&C returns remain very attractive, with a combined ratio of 91.4% and a combined ratio of 96.4% for the Retail segment.
Commissions generated by Farmers Management Services (FMS), its US agricultural subsidiary, grew by 12%, well above the average growth rate of the last ten years.
the capital position is very solid, with a Swiss Solvency Test (SST) ratio of 232%.
