Exail: praised for major drone order

(CercleFinance.com) - Exail Technologies has gained 5% after announcing an order worth almost 60 million euros for the Belgian and Dutch navies, as part of the BENL program to equip them with twelve robotized systems for underwater mine countermeasures.


With this order, the company will deliver several hundred K-STER drones, which are used in the final phase of missions to neutralize underwater threats previously identified by the other drones of the UMIS mine-clearing system.

These "consumable" UAVs, i.e. those destroyed when the mine is neutralized, will be mass-produced at the UAV assembly site in Ostend, Belgium, and will therefore benefit from industrial volume effects.
