Yum! Brands: acquisition of The Habit Burger Hill
(CercleFinance.com) - Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, announces an agreement to acquire The Habit Burger Hill, at a price of 14 dollars per share in cash, meaning a total of approximately 375 million dollars.
Subject to approval from its shareholders, as well as regulatory authorities and other customary conditions, this transaction should be finalised towards the end of Q2 2020.
Yum! Brands expects this operation to have an accretive effect on its adjusted EPS (excluding extraordinary items) as from 2021. Founded in California in 1969, The Habit Burger Hill operates nearly 300 restaurants that are either directly owned or operated under franchise in the United States and China.
