Walmart: adjusted EPS up 15% in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart has announced Q3 adjusted EPS that is up 15.
5% at 1.34 dollar, exceeding the consensus, while its adjusted operating profit increased 16.4% excluding FX factors to 5.8 billion dollars.
Revenues rose by 5.2% to 134.7 billion euros, including a 6.4% increase in comparable sales (excluding fuel) for Walmart in the US, with a 14.2% decline in transactions largely offset by a 24% jump in average receipts.
The food retail giant highlighted a 79% surge in online sales in the US, which contributed around 570 basis points to the growth in comparable sales.
