Walmart: launches free one-day delivery service
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart launched a free one-day delivery service in the United States on Tuesday, as the world's largest retailer attempts to compete with e-commerce giant Amazon.
The supermarket group said it is offering one-day delivery on up to 220,000 products, ranging from diapers to toys and electronics, without a membership fee.
The service will be available first to Walmart.com customers in Phoenix and Las Vegas, and will expand to Southern California in the coming days.
It will roll out gradually over the coming months, with the group planning to reach approximately 75% of the US population this year.
This service is available on eligible orders of 35 dollars or more.
