UnitedHealth: raises FY EPS guidance
(CercleFinance.com) - In its quarterly trading update, healthcare company UnitedHealth Group announced that it has raised its target range for FY 2021 adjusted EPS to between 18.
10-to-18.60 dollars, from a previous range of 17.75-to-18.25 dollars.
For the first three months of the year, the insurance and health services group said it had achieved adjusted EPS of 5.31 dollars, with profit from operations up 35% at 6.7 billion dollars.
At 70.2 billion dollars, revenue increased by 9%, with positive contributions from both UnitedHealthcare (+7.9%) and Optum (+10.8%), while its operating cost ratio improved to 14.6% from 15.5% the year before.
