United Technologies: US Marines award spare contract

2 million dollar contract to provide for initial spares, including four F135 military jet engines, for the US Marine Corps.
The supplier will also provide one power module and gearbox; four lift fan modules; and eight drive shafts in support of the Marine Corps' low-rate initial production Lot 11 F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
Work will be carried out in East Hartford, Connecticut; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Bristol in the UK, according to a notice published on Thursday.
The contract is expected to be completed in August 2021.
