Uber: multi-year strategic partnership with Waymo
(CercleFinance.com) - Uber Technologies has announced a new multi-year strategic partnership with Waymo, aimed at making the Waymo Driver available to more people via the Uber platform from Phoenix, Arizona.
The partnership combines Waymo's cutting-edge autonomous driving technology with the massive scale of Uber's ride-sharing and delivery networks, the transportation and meal delivery services platform said.
The integration will launch later this year with a defined number of Waymo vehicles in Waymo's newly expanded Phoenix operating territory, and will include ride-sharing trips.
