21st Century Fox: under guidance in 3rd quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - 21st Century Fox this Wednesday evening unveiled earnings from continuing operations up 8% to 876 million dollars for its third quarter, representing 47 cents per share.
In terms of adjusted data, EPS came out at 49 cents, whereas consensus was 53 cents.
The media and entertainment group's revenue, at 7.42 billion dollars, fell by 2%, chiefly due to the absence of advertising sales generated by the Super Bowl LI in the same period the previous financial year.
“We continue to make operational and financial progress against near-term objectives as we also work to close our strategic transactions”, say Executive Chairmen Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch.
