Target: buys online same-day delivery platform
(CercleFinance.com) - US retail chain Target has agreed to acquire Shipt, an online same-day delivery platform, for 550 million dollars in cash.
Target plans to use Shipt's technology to bring same-day delivery to customers across the country, starting with approximately half of its stores by early 2018.
The service will then be offered from the majority of Target stores, and in all major markets, before the 2018 holiday season.
