Symantec: exceeds expectations in 4th quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Symantec unveiled last evening an adjusted EPS growth (non-GAAP) of 64% to 46 cents for its fourth quarter 2017-18, thereby exceeding market consensus by seven cents.
The editor of IT security and antivirus solutions (under the Norton brand) benefited from an improvement to its operating margin, of 9.8 points to 36.5%, and revenues up 5% to more than 1.23 billion dollars.
Thanks to an adjusted EPS of 1.69 dollars and revenues exceeding 4.97 billion for the entire period under review, Symantec's management is aiming for target ranges of 1.50-1.65 dollars and 4.76-4.90 billion for 2018-19.
