Snap: names new CFO; shares up

(CercleFinance.com) - Snap Inc.
on Tuesday named Amazon's Tim Stone as chief financial officer, effective May 16.

Stone succeeds Andrew Vollero, who will retire on May 15, the owner of Snapchat messaging application said in a statement.

Tim Stone, age 51, has been employed at Amazon.com since March 1998. He was most recently vice president of finance and served as vice president of the retailer's physical stores until February 2018.

He will have an annual salary of 500,000 dollars. In addition, the executive will be awarded stock with a value of 20 million dollars, and 500,000 options to purchase shares of stock.

Shares in Snap were up 4.2% after this announcement.
