Qualcomm: signs 5G deal with French partners
(CercleFinance.com) - Qualcomm on Monday signed a deal with French research centre Eurecom, the French public institution IMT and French patent fund France Brevets to support research for future 5G standards, the US chipmaker said.
The deal aims to foster research in new technologies, the Californian company said.
Under its terms, Qualcomm will contribute funding and standards expertise to support wireless communications research by Eurecom and IMT.
France Brevets will provide support in the area of intellectual property strategy, it said.
